If you don't like the color you're getting, spray a little more and wait longer. You may have to redo it every so often, but it typically lasts through several launderings. Participated in the Rubber Band Speed Challenge. To dye synthetics you'll need a fabric dye able to permeate its less absorbent fibers and easily adhere to them for a high-quality, permanent finish. July 2017 Also, you may get a surprise color combination when the bleach begins to react with the dye in the fabric. It is very important that before you buy the fabric dye (which should be available at your local fabric or craft stores) you note the damaged garment's fabric. Make sure you spray the whole bundle and get the fabric good and wet. While bleach works wonders as a stain removal technique on white items that are not visually affected by brightening agents, using it even on slightly off-white clothing can visibly stain it permanently. Heat up the water over the stove until it reaches the temperature right before the boiling point. It is light pink and I want to dye it dark pink. Be sure that the item is completely saturated. When the section is twisted, secure it in place with a rubber band.

I actually have a sweatshirt that I wore cleaning and got bleach on, so it has bleached spots already. You can stop the process at any point, or wait until it bleaches white. February 2019
